September Music Playlist

I've been slacking big time with the playlist, so this one is extra special.  It's actually a bunch of random songs, but a lot of them express my mood or are favorites from my time at home.  

I can't believe we're already half way through September.  It's still brutally hot during the day here in my new town in Pennsylvania.  I'm not gonna lie, I miss the cool ocean air of my beachside town in NJ.  But at night, especially when I walk back from the library late or practice, it's nice and cool and I can cozy up in a big sweatshirt.

July Music Playlist!

June came and went and somehow it's already mid-July.  Where on earth is this summer going?  I'm trying to soak up these few weeks before a big trip {more on that tomorrow!} and then my big move to PA for school!

June Playlist!

I have no clue!

This music playlist is wonderful.  Wonderful I tell you!

It is perfect for everything- beach, driving, lounging around the house- you name it, I'll listen to this.

In fact, I was listening to this today when I was out by my pool!

It was such a gorgeous day and I loved it.

I wish everyday in the summer could be as relaxing as this, but, alas, I have a job.

Granted, my job is lifeguarding on the beach and involves tanning most of the day, but still!

I literally have three more weeks of school after spring break.  And then comes graduation.

This is crazy.

Okay, before I work myself up and start crying {since when did graduating get to be so sad?}, here's this months playlist!

March Music Playlist

Today I woke up just knowing it was going to be a good day.

Maybe it had to do with the fact that it's March, which means warmer days and one step closer to summer.

Maybe it had to do with the fact my coach gave us a day off of practice {and she NEVER gives us off}

It could have possibly even have been simply because it's Wednesday and Criminal Minds is on Wednesday nights.

Whatever the reason was, I knew today was going to be good.

And it was.

I {think} I aced my Anatomy test.

I cranked out 6 whole pages of my thesis paper.

I baked an {amazing} vanilla vanilla cake.

I took my sister out for a spontaneous trip to the ice cream parlor and we both go double chocolate crisp ice cream.

I went through old pictures with my mom from last year's trip to Turkey and Greece {oh how I long for those days again}

I updated my travel journal.

I listened to some music.

And I noticed how amazing life was today.

The sun was shining, it was warm, and I am happy.

Isn't it about focusing on the little things to keep us happy?

I think so.

This month's playlist is full of new music that I can't stop listening too, and some older music that has been on my soundtrack for the past few days.

Because, really, these music playlists are my soundtrack to life for the month.

It's funny how music has such a big effect, isn't it?

February Playlist!

Happy February!  Oh my gosh, where did the time go?

I have to say, I'm so happy January is OVAH!

I know, I know.  I'm suppose to love the new year, and January is suppose to be the time of big change.

But we had SO much snow.

And it was such a LONG, COLD month.

And after all the holiday festivities, it just felt so boring.

Not February.  I love this month.

Wanna know why?

1)  It's only 28 days.  Extra short, and extra sweet.

2)  Winter formal (this weekend!)

3) A super long 6 day mid-winter break in a few weeks

4)  End of high school swim season! {now i only have to swim 12 hours a week instead of 15!}

5)  OSCARS!

6)  Superbowl... the only excuse to eat fried foods and drink Coke.

7)  We're one month closer to SUMMER 2011!

Yes, my life is turning into one long countdown to me being able to finally see grass again.

Since it's the first day of a February, I though I'd start with a brand new music playlist!

December Music Playlist #2

Florida has been absolutely lovely so far.
On Saturday, we all slept in.  It was pouring rain all day, so we went for ice cream and my grandma got us Christmas gifts, which I got to pick out and loved.  Yesterday was cloudy and windy, so we went to the mall to do last minute shopping.  I got my mom, dad, and sister their gifts and I'm so excited!  Today was still to chilly to go to the beach, but we tested out our new kayaks around the canal behind our house.  I love outdoor adventures like that.  I can't wait to give you all a tour of the house here.  It's incredible and I'm in love with how everything turned out.


Christmas is 6 days away!   I can't wait, and in honor of the week before Christmas, I'm changing the music playlist on the right to all holiday tunes!  Some you might remember from last year's playlist.  These are all of my favorites.  I love when current artists remake older classics :)

On Saturday we decorated our florida christmas tree.  I love how the smell of a real tree really brings a house to life.

i hear a lot of people say how they HATE having music playing when they open a blog.  to the point where the won't even bother reading the blog because of the music.

i don't want the music to be a turnoff for anyone.

personally, i have days where i find it soothing and days when I mute my computer when i look at posts with music.  

so what do you think?

October Music Playlist

i've been in a bit of a blog rut all week.

actually, i've kind of just been sick and tired all week and not in the mood to do much of anything.

i'm starting to feel better tho, and plan on going out tonight.

and since today is a special day in the music world, i figured i would post the new playlist!

i've thought long and hard about my little ipod music player that plays each playlist of the month of all of you and i've decided to keep it.

the whole point of the music playlist of the month is to find songs that i love and share them with all of you.  plus i think it's nice to listen to songs when i come to a blog.

i don't know.  i like it.  

hopefully you agree.
