Valentine's Day

i may be single this Valentine's Day, and it may not be my favorite holiday, but I'm feeling the love this weekend.

i'm one of those people who believe in love.

I believe in forever.

I believe that there is someone out there.

and yes, through my experiences, sometimes i may be cynical about love.

but at the end of the day, deep down inside, i believe in magic.

i believe when you want something enough, it happens

dreams come true

wishes come true

valentine's day isn't just for lovers {although a lot think it is}

it's about all different forms of love.

love for family whose there for you even when you screw up a million times

love for friends who will answer your calls no matter how late, and listen to you vent about something even if you've vented about it a million times before

love for your dog or cat who makes you smile and runs to you every time you walk in the door

love for the person who makes your coffee at the local starbucks every morning

love for the UPS guy who delivers your packages and gives dog treats to your dog

love for the person who smiles at you every morning on your way to work/school

maybe this post is a little corny, but love comes in so many different forms and you can find it in a million different places

Today Starts it All!

hey!

it's december 1st!

do you know what that means??

it's officially 25 (oops i mean 24) days until Christmas!

even if you don't celebrate Christmas, it's still the most magical time of the entire year!

and it's going on NOW!

since this is my favorite holiday season, i will def be posting a ton about it here.  

and december 1st 2009 was pretty good around here.

this morning i woke up in such a better mood than last night, but still in some sort of funk.  

however, it was nothing  pumpkin spice lattes before classes with my friend rachel couldn't clear up.

while in my art class this morning, it started snowing!   it was so exciting.

it only lasted a couple of minutes, but it was lovely.

after classes, i got some tea with my friend annie.  

the doctor gave me the okay to start (slowly) working out again, so i've started swimming again yesterday with one of the two teams i am on.

it's been super difficult. 

*cue personal and depressing posting.  scroll past this if you want to stay on happy thoughts*

 i went from being a "work out everyday, yoga/running/swimming/triathlete" to having surgery and not being able to do anything for a month.  as in nothing.  

i think i pulled a muscle getting out of bed last week i have been so lazy.

i've lost a lot of the muscle i worked hard to build and i know they say the first few days back are tough....

but it has been really tough.

i'm working on it one day at a time though.

*cue end of depressing posting*

anyway back to happy stuff because it is christmastime!

love love love him :)

by the way: i'm doing not one, but two playlists for december.

one will just include new music i love.

and one will be completely holiday related.

i'm thinking doing the first one tomorrow:)
