Winter Wonderland

*Image Heavy*
I finally ventured out in the snow today
I was seriously getting a case of cabin fever
I watched a ton of movies the past two days and I am all movie-d out
(although the movie waitress was absolutely amazing- highly recommended!  and couples retreat had me laughing until i cried!)

brought my dog Isabelle out to play in it today

How do i get up?

trying to climb the stairs

i'm off to warmer weather tomorrow.
i'm kind of excited to get out of the snow.

The Great Blizzard

right now there's some major blizzard warnings in my area.
in fact, it's like a white-out when you look outside.
they cancelled classes for today and i have a feeling they'll cancel them for tomorrow too.

the view from my front door.

two snowstorms in one week?  this is crazy.
and i'm getting restless!

i'll be back later!

Snow Day, Cupcakes, and Giveaway

yesterday we had a massive snowstorm here.  okay, it wasn't massive where i was but in other parts of jersey it was.
we got 10 inches, which is still a lot.

i stayed inside all day long watching movies and baking cupcakes.  it was amazing.

i watched:
the invention of lying
{funny, but dragged on a bit}

little miss sunshine
{because i'm apparently the only one who never saw it}

and

whip it
{which was AMAZING.  so inspiring.  loved it}

all images google images except first one, taken by me

then, i baked these cupcakes, which are again from martha.

that's the muffin recipe.
to make the glaze, mix 3 T milk and 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar.

oh and i would recommend adding more cinnamon to the topping to make it less floury.
however, they are so good.
i want to add cocoa powder to the batter next time to mix it up a bit!

i haven't updated you on any cute giveaways that are out there in awhile; here is one i'm loving right now:

Christa is hosting an awesome giveaway including an amazing vintage camera at her blog
{i really love that camera.  and the headband.  and the photos.  okay, i love this giveaway}

so i didn't go outside at all yesterday and take pics of the snow... but i'm heading out in a little bit so i'll post some later if i get a chance :)

xoxo
