It Only Took Two Months...

... and (as those of you who follow me on twitter know) a whole lot of complaining.

but here it is :)

i'm in a portfolio class at my school.  we work endlessly on all types of projects.  

awhile ago i posted some of the things i had done

i posted this:

the assignment was to draw a self portrait (i combined two pictures from when i was younger).  it had to have a unique facial expression.

that was part one.  the second part was to have a copy made of it, and cover the second copy with values of newspaper:

the pictures not the best quality (i used my iphone) and you can't exactly see the true look of it from a picture, but there it is.

it was so time consuming and i'm so happy it's done, done, and done :)

p.s.  USA dominating last night in ice hockey?  that's what i like to see :)

Inspire Me

oh goodness.

words can not express how exhausted i am.  

this week needs to be over soon.

i've been studying, studying, studying

writing, working out, writing more, studying, eating, sleeping (very little)

thats it.  

so tiring.

i finally had time to blog tonight.  my apologizes for the sporadic postings.  i wanted to post this last night, but i fell asleep.

Saturday Night In

Yay yay yay!  Finally.  I'm super excited about all the artsy stuff i've done over the past couple of weeks and I have finally gotten around to posting pictures of them like i promised:

panda!  how cute?  i love this one.  it was my first big painting and i loved every minute of it!  it took me the longest... but i love the colors so so so much and was actually a little sad when it was over. 

but i have a new lovely art piece i'm working on!  its a sketch with colored pencils i'm going to frame.  i'll post a pic when i'm done.

this weekend has been amazing so far.  last night was my best friends birthday party.  dinner, dancing, friends.... so much fun!  tonight i'm staying in... drawing and  watching movies (right now is "Where the Heart is" with Natalie Portman... maybe an Audrey Hepburn flick later?  I love her!).  Tomorrow I'm celebrating my birthday in the city with friends.  More on that, things i love, and an update on my favorite music to come on Monday!  

gotta go back to the movie.... have an awesome saturday night/ sunday. xoxo
