As previously mentioned, this weekend i drove down to long beach island for the night. with traffic, it's about a two hour drive and i left saturday around one and came back sunday around three. even though it was only for the night, it was the perfect little getaway. i relaxed one the beach (so nice when you normally work the beach), ate blueberry ice cream (my favorite), played card games, and just hung out.
sometimes min-vacations are much needed, right?
it was actually funny because when my roommate sarah called me and invited me, she said most of her family wouldn't be there that weekend. as she put it, "only eight cousins, two aunts, an uncle, a cousin in law, and a cousin's boyfriend". um, guys, that's like three times the size of my entire family. it was so much fun hanging out with everyone because my families not that big and is spread out between here, florida, and south dakota, so to spend time with a family that spends every weekend together was pretty cool.
i didn't take many pictures at all. i know, i stink. BUT i did take these awesome pictures of a huge storm that hit on saturday night.
look at that sky!! i think it's so awesome.
how was your weekend? did you do anything fun or exciting or did you have more of a relaxing weekend?
