Where I've Been

The past few weeks have been full of highs and lows and I just haven't had the time or the energy to post on here.

It all started right after the Superbowl.  I was feeling GREAT after my Giants won.  Monday night I felt a little sleepier then normal, but nothing unusual.  On Tuesday I felt exceptionally tired, but chalked it up to the busy week/past weekend.  Unfortunately, by 4 PM that afternoon I had a 101 degree fever.  I went to the health center, got some Theraflu, and got a Dean's Excuse for classes the next day with instructions to do nothing more then sleep and take advil.  The next morning I woke up with a 103 degree fever.  I was drenched in sweat and honestly thought I was going to die, so i went back to bed.  That afternoon my fever (thankfully) went down, but I still went back to the health center just in case.  They really weren't sure why I had a low-grade fever still since I was on the Theraflu, but told me to get more rest.  Around 7 PM I felt great.  Like, was doing homework and considering going to get my first food since Monday night great.  And then all of the sudden I couldn't stop throwing up.  My fever was back to 103 and I literally couldn't even drink a sip of water without throwing up.

Being at college and being so sick is the worst.  Thank goodness I live only 90 minutes away, because my Mom was able to rush to pick me up that night and take me home.  I was told if my fever hadn't gone down by the morning to head straight to the hospital.   It was one of the worst experiences ever.  Luckily I woke up the next morning with no fever and promptly at three bowls of soup no problem.  Apparently I had the Norovirus.  It was awful.

Since being back at school {I missed three days of classes + the weekend}, I've felt kind of homesick.  I can't explain it.  It also doesn't help that three years ago this past weekend my Grandfather passed away.  My family went down to Florida for a few days to spend time with my grandmother, and it was really hard not being their with them.

Luckily, things are looking up and I'm going home next weekend for my Daddy's surprise 50th birthday.  My family's also coming on Sunday to take me too lunch which I'm really excited about.

I have a lot of posts planned for the next week, so stay tuned!
