oatmeal, three ways

oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfast foods.  i've been eating a lot of it lately because it's filling and yummy, which is important when you're doing multiple work out's a day.  
here are some of my favorite ways to prepare it, to make it less boring:

1.  by mixing in fruits when the oatmeal is still on the stove, it's softens and slightly caramelizes them.  it works wonderfully with bananas, but grapes also work too.
2.  i love putting honey in my oatmeal, because it's an alternative to brown sugar.
3.  lately i've been adding peanut butter to it to increase the protein.  it also thickens the oatmeal to make it nice and creamy.

  1. As much as I love oatmeal, I always have to have it with fruits! Blueberries are probably my favorite combo, but I do love me some grapes. ;) And cinnamon and honey... is that weird?
