I'm happy to be back this week with a new Style Story Sunday!
I wore this outfit to school on Friday, and while the concept of doing double denim is new to me {and something I never would have done last year}, this is turning out to be one of my new favorite outfits.
Denim button down: Madewell
Jeans: Seven for all Mankind
Scarf: Paris street vendor
Coat: Urban outfitters {black friday sale!}
Ring: Free People
Glasses: Warby Parker
Shoes: Minnetonka from JCrew
My trip to the city last Saturday was partly to go to all my favorite stores that are not available to me here in Jersey. I had some Christmas money left over, so I quickly headed to Madewell and Free People. I was a bit unsure about buying the denim button down, but I do love how comfy it is and how it works quite nicely with dark jeans. I think it would work great with leggings for long plane rides or with shorts in the summer! The scarf is a favorite from Paris. I actually bargained for it nicely and got one in gray too. It's funny how I would never buy something from a street vendor in NY, simply because they're often cheap and overpriced. But I love how soft this one is, and I'll always fondly remember it as the scarf bargained for in Paris. The ring is also from my NY trip last week. As soon as I saw it at the FP store, I knew I had to have it. As for the UO coat, I had been eyeing it all fall in the store, but I couldn't justify spending $100 on a coat that wasn't a winter coat. When I was in the store on Black Friday and saw it marked down to $30, I knew it was fate telling me I needed it in my closet. {Okay, maybe not fate, but something was telling me it needed to be mine}. I don't get much use out of it because it's light, but it makes a nice rain coat on warmer days.
Today will be spent working on my big thesis project, teaching my kiddos their yoga {oh how I've missed them the past two weeks!}, and heading to the library. And, of course, I'll be watching the Oscar's tonight!
Have a great Sunday! xo
you are just too cute for your own good:)
