Bits of My Weekend

Happy Monday {and last day of February} everyone!
I decided that even though last week's pictures were a bit week, I really do like doing a "Bits of My Weekend" post on Monday nights.  It forces me to take more pictures throughout the weekend, even if they are just quick ones on my Iphone.  I'm not saying it will be a weekly post, but expect more "Bits of My Weekend" posts around here for now.

I actually loved this weekend.  Even though I was {am} still sick, it was nice and relaxing and just overall really lovely.
Here are some scenes from my weekend!

1.  Finally getting myself back into yoga.  I was going to go to a class, but figured my fellow Yogis wouldn't appreciate my hacking Bronchitis cough.  Instead, I put my Yoga teaching certification to good use and lead myself through a 45 minute session.  It felt so nice, and I can't wait to make it a regular part of my week!  I ended up do double yoga over the weekend, as on Sunday I taught my class for the kids. I've missed them the past two weeks, so it was nice to see their eager, shining faces on Sunday afternoon.
2.  My new favorite lunch.  Pears and parmesan!  Light, healthy, and super yummy.
3.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous this weekend.  All I needed on Sunday was a sweater.  It felt so nice to pack my jacket away for the day.  It was a bit of spring fever I so desperately needed.
4.  On Saturday night I stayed in and ordered some Thai takeout.  I love Pad Thai and Edamame, so this was so perfect.  Yum!
5.  Sunday was spent working on my big project.  It's due at the end of March, so I spent most of the day scanning in photos and citing their sources.  Kind of a pain, but I'll be glad when it's over!
6.  Ah, humidifier!  My dad set this up for me to help me breathe at night.  I absolutely love the sound it makes as the soft air blows out.  It's so soothing to sleep to.
7.  I've been sticking to my goal of having a mug of tea everyday.  I love how it calms me down before bed.  Sometimes I drink it plain, and sometimes I add a splash of honey into.  My mom backed chocolate chip oatmeal cookies on Saturday, so they entire weekend involved tea and cookies!
8.  On Saturday night I worked on an awesome DIY project I love.  I'll post the entire thing here tomorrow, but I figured I'd give you a little sneak peak :)

I woke up this morning to some lovely rain and wind.  It's surprising how much I love the rain, but I actually do enjoy it every now and again.  That, coupled with the oatmeal I had for breakfast, made me realize that this is going to be a really great week.  And I think I'm right!  My coach is giving me Wednesday night off from practice to rest my sick body!  So sweet of her.  I'm also taking tomorrow off of school to see if I can crack down and finish a chunk of this paper.  I'm pretty confident I can focus if I have my tea and a nice long afternoon free of distractions!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I have quite a few lovely blog posts lined up this week including, but not limited to:
A DIY tomorrow
March Music playlist
A "It's the Little Things" Pose
And a special post about a special someone on Saturday.

Have a great Monday :) xo
