Isn't Technology Incredible?

my blog friend danielle posted about technology on her blog today.

and truthfully, i had been thinking a lot about technology yesterday.

i was sitting exactly where i am now (my bed) at around 4 pm....

watching....

a live feed of the tsunamis in Hawaii.

a live feed.

 of actual tsunami's.  

unbelievable.

thankfully, technology has improved in the last 6 years since the Indonesia tsunami.

thankfully, because of technology, Hawaiian residents {and all other islands/states/countries effect} were able to evacuate well in advance.

while the tsunami waves that hit weren't a disaster to our islands, you never know what could have happened had people gone to higher grounds.

i don't know.  just sitting here yesterday, watching the tsunami waves, hearing people monitor the waves, made me think about how lucky we are.

technology may do a lot of damage to our world.

but it's responsible for saving so many people.

it really is amazing.

at the same time, we should all keep in our thoughts and prayers the people of Chile. 

what a terrible thing to have happened.

mother nature's really somethings, right?

feet and feet of snow here on the east coast

{oh, and apparently northern jersey had it's own mini earthquake last week.  WHAT?}
