Happy Things

Mondays are tough.
Really tough.
You see, it's Saturday.
You're watching movies and baking cupcakes and taking hot showers.
Then you sleep late on Sunday.
You're doing some work (but not a lot) and listening to music.
and dressing up in white and blue to cheer on the colts (not that they're YOUR team... that would be the giants...)
and then you go to sleep all peacefully warm and happy.

and then all of the sudden it's 6 45 am and your alarm's blaring and you can't find those jeans you love.
and you don't have time to eat or make coffee so you run to class.

and the day continues.  {obviously in a much more boring fashion.}

then you head to practice and you get back home and give your bestie a call because she just had stitches on her knee and is very upset over not being able to bend it.
and all of the sudden it's 10 30 and you're sleepy.

man.  when i type my day out like that it sounds really short.

--------------

since i was way too lazy this weekend (and come on give me a break i was so busy watching movies) these pics aren't from the storm over the weekend.  they're from last month.  but it looks exactly the same, i promise :)

I LOVE
this quote on Nicole's Blog

"promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best.
forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater acheivments of thefuture.
give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you."
~ christian d. larson.

because her goal of becoming stronger is something i'm aiming towards too.
i'm trying to not let things get to me.
always keep an open mind

remember that fashion show i co-ran a couple weeks ago?
i didn't have time to take any pictures, but i grabbed this off of my friend carly's facebook page:

we had so much fun that night and raised so much money for such an amazing cause.

this weekend this will be me:
3 more days... 3 more days

fated to pretend

"The rain is fallin' on my window pane
but we are hidin' in a safer place
undercover stayin' safe and warm
you give me feelings that i adore

they start in my toes
make me crinkle my nose
wherever it goes
i always know
that you make me smile
please stay for awhile
just take your time
wherever you go"
-  Colbie Caillat

{I have no idea what that has to do with Florida... but for some reason it always reminds me of summer}

xoxo night loves
